With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Kay Thompson (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on September 1, 2024 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her husband Steven Thompson; her sons, Brad Funk, Matt Funk (Brittanie) and Scott Funk; her sisters, Tammy Cunningham, Shanda Murphy and Mary Dean; her nephew Corey Cunningham; her grandchildren, Mylie, Chloey, Serenity, Hadley, Conner and Memphis Funk; and the father of her children Bradley "Chung" Funk.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Fairdale - McDaniel Funeral Home (411 Fairdale Rd, Fairdale, KY 40118). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the McDaniel Funeral Home (411 Fairdale Rd, Fairdale, KY 40118).
