She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arthur Hopewell and Lelah Hopewell (George Merrifield); and her children, Donna Mudd (Jimmy), Greg (Beth), Gary and Lisa Dean (Glenn).

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernadette Catholic Church (6500 St Bernadette Ave, Prospect, KY 40059).

June and George established the St Jude Foundation (awarding grants to agencies providing assistance to drug and alcohol addicted youth).
