With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph E. Sims Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky, born in Marion, Kentucky, who passed away on July 23, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edmund Sims and Mary Nancy Sims (Raley); and his siblings, James Sims, Maragala Powell, Susan Carter and Dorothy Graves.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sims (Byrd); his children, Jeff Sims (Stephanie) and Jennifer Sims (Kyle Hoylman); his grandchildren, Joseph Sims (Bobby), Audrey Losh (Daniel) and Delaney Sims; his sister-in-law Charlene Phelps; his pets, Piper and Roadie Sims; and his siblings, David Sims, Margaret Jutz and Mona Parrott. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
