John left this world on November 18, 2024 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Archer and Edith Archer; and his brother Michael Archer. He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his children, Tonia Williams (Steven), Melissa Massey (Tyrone), Teresa Leis (William) and Sylvester "Buddy" Archer (Mitzi); his siblings, Barbara Fields and Danny Archer; and his grandchildren, Robert (Samantha), Lynn (Andrew), BJ (Morgan), Sara, Sydnie, Brandon (Cyndi), Samantha, Justin (Crystal), Emily, Cody (Taylour), Jadyn, Jillian and Olivia (Caden). He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home (7710 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40258). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the Louisville Memorial Gardens West (4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216).
