Though Joe may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Staten and Mary Staten (Frederick); and his wife Margie Staten (Hogan). He is survived by: his children, Mike Staten (Judy), Marta Thomason (Mike), Greg "Shorty" Staten, Laurie Shields, Vickie Staten and Jenny Brown (Ken). He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
