He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Brooks and Joyce Brooks (Burnett); and his brothers, Layton, James and Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Kim Brooks; his children, Angela Kaelin (Joey), Kelly Austin and Ryne Ray; his grandchildren, Austin Wiehebrink (Haley), Kinley Kaelin (Nolan), Joey Kaelin and Robert Austin; and his sister Shela Vincent of Chalybeate. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42754).
