He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Murphy and Sarah McWilliams Murphy; his siblings, Philip Jr. (Alberta) of Louisville, KY, Joe (Stella) of Louisville, KY, Gene Murphy (Jan) of Louisville, KY, Mary L Babcock (Walter) of Elizabeth, IN and Cleta Angel; and his sisters-in-law, Jan Murphy of Louisville and Mary Murphy of Louisville.
He is survived by: his brother Robert "Eddie" Murphy of Louisville. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bosse Funeral Home (1355 Ellison Ave, Louisville, KY 40204). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Brigid Catholic Church (1520 Hepburn Ave, Louisville, KY 40204-1618). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Michael Cemetery (1153 Charles St, Louisville, KY 40204).
The family suggests donations in Jerry's name may be made to either your local animal shelter or the American Cancer Society.
