Jay Harold Cook Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Harold Cook of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 55, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Jay Harold shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jay Harold farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He is survived by: his children, Alexus Cook and Jesse Cook; his parents, Peggy Briner (Cliff) and Larry Cook (Cindy); his brother Bryan Cook (Jamie); and his pet Gunner.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hardy-Close Funeral Home (285 S Buckman St, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
