She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ford and Christine Edwards; her husband Big Donnie Ray Smith; her stepfather Lawrence Collard; her sons, Little Donnie Lee Smith and Larry Allen Smith; and her siblings, Eddie Collard, Nellie Gagel and Pat Meredith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Hellinger (Norman Jr.) and Tina B. J. Whitmer (Clifton Jr.); her sisters, Sue Bushong (Lloyd) and Mary Collard; and her grandchildren, Jenny Smith (Aaleeshuh), Stephen, Jonathan, Timothy, Kayla Smith, Josh and Lily Whitmer. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
