He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell Green, Sr. and Lucy Elizabeth Green; his siblings, Cynthia Jones-Obiyant, Jackie Jackson, Karen Green Simmons, Mary Thompson, Altony Green, Wanda McIntyre and Sherwood Green; his son James Green, III; and his grandchildren, Kyevin Green, James Green, IV and Hazelynn Green.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Green.
