It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Paul Klingensmith (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. For James Paul is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Delbert and Minnie Klingensmith (Evans); and his wife Ruby Klingensmith (Dunn). He is survived by: his daughter Paulette Hatfield (Jim); his grandson James Matthew Harp; and his sisters, Katherine Knott and Helen Jean Morelock.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Homes - Dixie Highway (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Owen Funeral Home (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216).
