He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Minton and Delphia Tomes Minton; and his siblings, Byron, Morton Minton and Thelma Embry.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Armes Minton of Louisville; his daughter Tonya; his son-in-law Mark Copeland of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Natalie and Sydney Copeland.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
