He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. McKendrick and Lillian Perry McKendrick; and his grandsons, Isaiah and Joshua McKendrick. He is survived by: his wife Irene Cornett McKendrick; his sons, Jeff McKendrick (Kim) and Todd McKendrick (Beth); his sisters, Jo Rene Taylor (Shirl) and Connie Yarborough (Noel); his grandchildren, Michele Mandlehr (Stephen), Eric McKendrick (Nicole), Tyler McKendrick (Catherine), Zach McKendrick and Jacob McKendrick; and his great grandchildren, Stella, Leo, Sylvia, Parker and Charlie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, KY 40218). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Crosswater Gardens Cemetery (7710 Billtown Rd, Louisville, KY 40299).
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
