It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene Elizabeth (Fey) McDermott (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on December 21, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fey and Sophia Fey (Rietl) of Louisville, Kentucky.; her husband Robert William McDermott, Sr.; and her siblings, Bii, Gene Fey and Mary Kestler.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Reid (Bryan), Robert McDermott, Jr. (Lynne) and Teresa "Terry" Lewis (Darrell); and her sister Betty Stratman. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home (5317 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216). A Mass will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Incarnation Catholic Church (2229 Lower Hunters Trace, Louisville, KY 40216). An entombment will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at the Follow Louisville Memorial Gardens West (4400 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40216).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nortons Children's NICU.
