She was predeceased by: her parent Skylarh Poynter; her son James Maxie Byrd; her parent Harret Blair Poynter; her siblings, Curtis Poynter, Warren Poynter, Ruby Jean Chapman, William Poynter and Clarence Poynter; and her former husband Maxie Byrd.
She is survived by: her daughter Vickie Byrd; her granddaughter Ashley Clark (Logan); her great grandchildren, Phoenyx Clark and Evie Clark; and her siblings, Jerry Poynter (Maggie), Pat Rutherford (Stanley) and Paul Richard Poynter (JoAn). She is also survived by extended family and close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home West (4400 Dixie Hwy, Shively, KY 40216).
