With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria Ann Johnson of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey Cowles and Ermine Cowles; her husband William Oval "Bill" Johnson; her daughter Beverly Ann Barrow; her great grandchild Andrew Johnson; and her daughter-in-law Sally Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, Rev. Larry Johnson (Diane), Barry Johnson and Kenneth Johnson; her siblings, Mary Garrett, Dorothy Johnson and James Cowles (Teresa); and her son-in-law Ed Barrow. She is also survived by five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Baptist Church (11500 La Grange Rd, Louisville, KY 40223).
