He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Nelson and Doris Jean Bodkins Nelson; and his brothers, Herschel Nelson and Keith Nelson. He is survived by: his daughter Jacqueline Curtsinger (Aaron) of Campbellsville; his grandchildren, Haley Curtsinger, Zachary Curtsinger and Colton Curtsinger; and his siblings, Joseph Nelson Sr. (Peggy) of Greensburg and Loretta Morgan (Randy Sr.) of Campbellsville.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service (1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
