He was predeceased by : his parents, Cecil Johnson and Mary Johnson. He is survived by : his wife Lillie Johnson; his children, Todd Johnson (Nancy), Kelly Alzawar, Jennifer Rivera (Mark) and Greg Johnson (Julia); his grandchildren, Mikey, Brandon, Alisha, Lea, Karma, Mary, Natalie, Jimmy Ray, Lorelai, Isaiah, Carmen and Ali; and his sisters, Joyce Perry, Shirley Chapman and Rose Perry (Troy). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Joseph E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home (7336 Southside Dr, Louisville, KY 40214). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central.
