She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth D. Buntain and Margia Smith Buntain Puckett; her stepfather James Puckett; her sister Barbara Buntain Lentz; her nephew Dennis Lentz; her niece Linda Lentz; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Allen, Pat Buntain, Charles Lentz and Ricky Hughes.
She is survived by: her husband Robert E. "Bobby" Hughes; her daughter Lisa Mae Hughes Propheter; her granddaughter Aliya Morgan Propheter; her siblings, Sandra Buntain Dempsey Smith (Bobby), Dorothy Buntain Akin, Glenn D. Buntain and Kenneth R. Buntain (Kathy); her nieces and nephews, Angie Ethridge (Ken), Vicki Stephens (Dennis), Carrie Tilton (Brian), Amy Beck (Darryl), Timothy Lentz, David Buntain (Yolanda), Heath Dempsey (Tracy) and Shane Dempsey (Shelly); and her friend Marla Robinson. She is also survived by ten grandnieces; five grand nephews; eight great-great nieces; six great-great nephews; and many cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165).
