He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joanie MacLean; his children, Síofra Máire Rucker and Embry Cobb Rucker III; his grandchildren, Isabel May Nugent, Ennis Quinn Rucker and Embry Cobb Rucker IV; his brother Rudy; his nephews, Stuart and Erick Ulferts; his niece Elizabeth; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Margaret, Kathleen, Will and Robbie; his former wife Noreen Smythe Rucker; his granddaughter Tinsley Noreen Nugent; and his parents, Marianne Rucker (Bitter Rucker) and Embry Cobb Rucker. He was also cherished by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
