As Ellen Diane departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ellen Diane may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ellen Diane leaves behind.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bud Barksdale and Pat Smith (Kinman); her stepfather Larry Smith; her husband Mike Brown; her sister Cindy Barksdale; her niece Annie Barksdale; her daughters, Bethany Kelm (Mike) and Marissa Barksdale (Eric); her grandchildren, Cameron Kelm, Makayla Kelm and Elijah Hill; and her sister Theresa Gray (Rick). She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
