He was predeceased by: his parents, William Aubrey Smith and Hattie Roberson Smith; his wife Anna Rosetta Milam Smith; his siblings, Linda Faye Boston, Wendell Reed Smith and William Rodney Smith; his grandson Vincent Aubrey Smith; his nephew Terry Wayne Boston; his great-nephew Joel Allen Gaddis; and his stepson John Gregory Smith.
He is survived by: his son Mark Dewaine Smith (Elizabeth Ann Smith); his granddaughter Madelyne Elizabeth Smith; his niece Tonia Boston Gaddis (Allen Gaddis); his nephew William Travis Boston (Jay Garner); his stepdaughters, Linda Hood and Susie Smith; and his stepgrandchild Christy Savage (family: Leia Smith, Lee Smith, Sabin Thompson). He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hardy & Son Funeral Home (3098 Louisville Rd, Bowling Green, KY 42101). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (1209 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42103).
