He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jane Seay (Abell); his children, James Edward Seay, Christopher Martin Seay, Mary Catherine Seay Gama (Yoshi) and Angela Elizabeth Seay DeSimone (Adam); his grandchildren, Addison "Addy" Denise DeSimone, Annalise "Anna" Jane DeSimone and Aidan "Buddy" Joseph DeSimone; and his sisters, Eleanor Seay Wise and Ethel Seay Barry. He is also survived by his family, especially being with his grandchildren.
