It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dolores Jean Kersey (Louisville, Kentucky), who passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid adieu to Dolores Jean's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Dolores Jean has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bishop John R. Kersey; her sons, Thomas Harris, Jr. and John Wayne Kersey; and her grandson Ricky Harris. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kieona Harris, Clarissa Adams (Brittany), Thomas Harris, Timothy Ritter, Eric Harris and Sykethia Childers; and her stepchildren, Jannie Holt (Holt) and Shirley Lewis.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Stephen Church (1018 S 15th St, Louisville, KY 40210). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Stephen Church (1018 S 15th St, Louisville, KY 40210).
