She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis O. Scheu and Rosemary Bishop Scheu; and her husbands, James E. Phelps and Robert Clifford. She is survived by: her children, Rosemary Phelps Cary (Josh), Michael Phelps (Nikki) and James E. "Chip" Phelps, Jr. (Brandy); her grandchildren, Carter Cary, Scarlett Cary, Hallie Phelps Meyers (Max), Elliott Phelps, Matthew Phelps, Jacob Phelps, Kaden Phelps and Jimmy Phelps; and her siblings, Mary Lou Dobelstein (Chuck) and David Scheu (Alicia).
In honor of Cynthia's giving spirit, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the National MS Society.
