He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Smith and Sybil Atwell Webster; his son Michael Wright; and his siblings, Carl James Dobson and Louise Nichols (Jimmy).
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Stratton Smith; his children, Terri Curtis, Christopher Smith, Jr. and Stephen Wright; his grandchildren, Lauren Curtis and Noah Smith; and his siblings, Roger Dobson (Charlotte), Elizabeth Seales and Patricia Jo Uhls. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home (10600 Taylorsville Rd, Jeffersontown, KY 40299). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (2501 N Dixie Blvd, Radcliff, KY 40160).
Expressions of sympathy may include contributions to Tunnel to Towers, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or by simply thanking a veteran or law enforcement officer for his/her service.
