We bid farewell to Charles Harrell Thornberry (Louisville, Kentucky), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 7, 2024 at the age of 90. Charles Harrell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wilber and Alma Thornberry (Horrell); his son Mark Thornberry of Louisville; and his granddaughter Brittainy Miller. He is survived by: his children, Kim Colaizzi (Ernie) of Daytona Beach, Fla. and Kelly Neumeyer (Paul) of Simpsonville; and his grandchildren, Ashley Moore (Jim), Bradley Thornberry, Jon Thornberry (Whitney), Clay Upchurch (Brittany), Taylor Upchurch (Katlyn) and Landon Upchurch. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown (9318 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40299). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

“So very sorry to hear that Charlie has passed away. Yes, Charlie was a very jovial, friendly, compassionate, and caring person that was always a joy to be with. Charlie and I met in our "retirement Job" driving cars together doing "dealer trades" for several years. We become good friends during these trips. He will be missed by all who knew him! My Condolence goes out to the entire family and friends! Ron Jones”
