It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Shirley Mendel (Louisville, Kentucky), born in Lowell, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Conley and Mary Conley; and her husband Dr. Robert W. Mendel. She is survived by: her children, Joanne, Gary of San Francisco, CA and Karen (Earl Pike) of Plano, TX; her grandchildren, Garrett Sharp of Austin, TX, Graham Sharp of Austin, TX, Collin Sharp of Plano, TX, Riley Mendel of Dublin, CA and Cole Mendel of Dublin, CA; her great grandchild Brooklynn Sharp Harris of Plano, TX; and her brother George E. Conley.
In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy may be sent to Springdale Presbyterian Church or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
