She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert J. Schmitt and Elizabeth Schmitt (Alvey); her siblings, Bobby Schmitt and Janet Schmitt; and her grandmother Nellie Schmitt.
She is survived by: her stepmother Carolyn Schmitt; her nephew Jeremy Schmitt-Turner (Brandon); her brothers, John Schmitt and Jimmy Schmitt; her stepsiblings, Julle Cummings (David), Paula Bader (Tom) and Steve Thomas; her aunt Suzanne McDonald; and her uncle Tommy Schmitt (Cathy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
