She was predeceased by: her parents, Guffie Higgs and Ruth Higgs; and her husband Nathan Hunter Howard. She is survived by: her children, Lauren Burress (Rodney) and Matthew Howard; and her grandchildren, Hillary, Phillip, Whitney Burress, Dale Howard and Andrea Young. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
