He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Johnson and Sarah Chapman Johnson; his wife Kim Johnson; his daughter Vergina Johnson; and his siblings, Virginia Suggs, Gloria Hylton, Flo Pack, Sherry Lynn Smith, Bud Johnson, William Johnson and Danny Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Wilson Johnson (Ruby), Jesse Johnson, Tessaca Johnson, Monica Gorrell, Mary Terry and Wilma Sturgill; his siblings, Libby Sester, Opal Blanton, David Johnson and Paul Johnson; and his grandchildren, Rodney Harrison, Jacob Sturgill, Ricky Harrison, Cody Hensley, Blake Johnson, Hailey Johnson, Jada Babie Hensley, Veronica Harrison, Bethany Marchese and Christiana Sturgill.
