She was predeceased by: her parents, William Watts and Stella Watts (Webb); her husband Billy F. Short; her sisters, Ruby Watts, Madge McCloud, Edith Brewer, Hazel Scott Edwards and Lois Hewlett; and her grandson-in-law Josh Chinn.
She is survived by: her children, John Short (Sheila) and Dwana Gauze (Brad); her grandchildren, Kaydee Castle (Mitch), Brittany Chinn, Larisa Skaggs (Wade) and Alayna Lucas (Nick); her great grandchildren, Emma Castle, Ella Castle, Parker Castle, Hadley Skaggs, Ryleigh Jo Chinn and Rhett Skaggs; her sister-in-law Carole Yetter; and her nieces, Carolyn Ferguson, Brenda Akers, Stella Adams, Trina Jenkins, Cindy McCloud and Connie Brewer.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Louisa Free Will Baptist Church Children's Program.
