He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick William and Ruth Webb Schaffner; his wife Glenna June Schaffner; and his brother Fredrick William Schaffner II. He is survived by: his children, Charles "Chuck" Schaffner (Lorie) of Grayson, KY, Gail Stanley (Kevin) of Catlettsburg, KY and Angie Schaffner of Ashland, KY.; his grandchildren, Charlie Schaffner (Emily) of Huntington, WV, Tyler Stakely of Ashland, KY, Austin Stinnett, Tabitha Stinnett of Grayson, KY, Nichole Rigsby, Summer Rigsby, Hayden Stanley, Aaron Stanley, Bentlee Stanley, Brystol Stanley of Catlettsburg, KY, Luke Morgan of Nicholasville, KY and Raegan Everman of Ashland, KY; and his sisters, Marlene Baker of Catlettsburg, KY and Janet Schaffner of Greenup, KY. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
