He was predeceased by: his father Luther Wilson; his wife Mary Chafin; his daughter Lisa Chafin; and his siblings, Doris Chafin, William Henry Chafin, Freddy Chafin, Richard Chafin and Tommy Chafin.
He is survived by: his son Phillip Chafin, Jr.; and his granddaughter Kara Douglas.
