It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Thompson of Louisa, Kentucky, who passed away on January 9, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Thompson and Lilly Thompson (Castle); and his son Joe F.. He is survived by: his wife Bonita Thompson; his children, Bryan Thompson, Donald Thompson and Shaine Thompson; his stepchildren, Teddie Wise and Angel Spurlock; his grandchildren, Christian Baldwin, Pamela Meacham, Sherece Thompson, Angel Thompson, Joseph Thompson, Cheyenne Thompson, Shayla Thompson and Blake Thompson; his stepgranddaughter Jayla Downard; and his brother Gregory Thompson. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the funeral home to help offset final expenses.
