He was predeceased by: his father Jess Lee Swafford; his son Matthew Swafford; and his brothers, Danny Swafford and Conley Swafford. He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Fitch Swafford Miller; his wife Debra Swafford; his children, Jesse Howard Swafford, Jimmy Alonzo Swafford, Jr., Dawn Swafford, Debra K. Swafford and Misty Rose Thacker; his siblings, Terry Swafford, Ernie Swafford, Sally Swafford and Gail Wells; and his close friend Jimmy Ball. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Charley Freewill Baptist Church (6764 Hwy 1760, Louisa, KY 41230). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at the Fort Gay Bartram Cemetery.
