It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Oakie Vanhorn of Louisa, Kentucky, who passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Patricia Ann Vanhorn (Debord); and his siblings, Lavonda Vanhorn and Benjamin Vanhorn. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Perry Vanhorn; his children, Kendra Marcum, Dorothy Maynard, Jamie Vanhorn and Brooklyn Vanhorn; his stepchildren, Tiffany Fluty and James Fluty; his grandchildren, Aksel Marcum, Elaina Marcum, Scarlett Marcum and Garrett Vanhorn; and his siblings, Judy Charles and Edward Vanhorn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
