He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith Maynard and Shirley Maynard; and his siblings, Garnett Maynard, Mary Parsley and Robert Maynard (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Maynard (Davis); his children, James B. Maynard, Jr., Robert Darryl Maynard, Shirley Maynard and Linda Maynard; and his siblings, Della Murphy and Larry Maynard. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
