She was predeceased by: her parents, Ulysses Grant York and Georgia Varney York; and her siblings, Isabelle Swearingin, Harold York, Alvis York, Grant York, Jr., Oretha Heisler, Joy Walker and Joanne York.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Cassell; her children, Crystal Walker (John) and Jason Cassell (Sarah); and her sisters, Christene See, Fern Powers, Janet Johnson and Barbara Artrip. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
