She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Daniel and Thelma Daniel (Whaley); her husband Lawrence Hughes; her son Michael Keith Hughes; her brothers, Fredrick "Fritz" Daniel and William "Bill" Daniel; and her granddaughter Shelby Hardin.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sherri Hardin and Glenna Castle; and her sisters, Carol King and Judy McClasky. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
