She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe P. Hughes and Katherine Hughes (Carter); her husband James Cecil Sloas; and her brothers, Wayne Hughes, Norman K. Hughes and Tim Hughes.
She is survived by: her children, James Gregory Sloas and Laura Dennison (Tim); her grandsons, Matthew Dennison and Adam Dennison; and her siblings, Nell Bussey, Ellen Greer, Ann Salyer, Jane Mahurin and Clark Hughes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Community Hospice.
