He is survived by: his children, Mark A. Hamilton (Sonnie Martin), Tracey D. Hamilton (Nancy Pratt) and Holly Hamilton Mills (Estel Larry); his grandchildren, Christopher Hamilton (Bryanne), Shanda Hamilton Welch (Dan), Shane Hamilton, Adam Swann (Katie) and Lindsay Mills Smith (Justin); his great grandchildren, Myla Hamilton, Mason Hamilton, Marlee Hamilton, Dexter Welch, Samantha Welch, Sydney Welch, Thurston Swann, Greer Smith, Rory Smith and Samuel Smith; his sisters, Mary Hamilton Hewitt (Roger), Lauretta Hamilton Caldwell and Nora Holmes Brush (Duane); and his cousin William Jackson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
