He is survived by: his children, Kara Barker (James), Sarah Truman (Austin) and David Thompson II; his fiancée Doris Hale; his stepchildren, Angel Puckett (Steven) and Hunter Hale; his grandchildren, Caden Thompson, Chandler Thompson, Sydney Wilson and Sebastian Copley; his brother John Thompson (Opal); his cousin Greg Thompson; and his nieces, Kimberly Thompson-Hairston (Rick) and Laura Thompson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (1270 KY-2565, Louisa, KY 41230). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
