He was predeceased by: his parent Freddie Willard; and his sister Amanda Thompson. He is survived by: his mother Ruby Thompson (King); his wife Ginger Thompson; his children, Melissa Wolford, Ellie Mae Thompson (Laken Wilson), Tiffany Fletcher (Dewey), Daniel Thompson and Jerri Castle (Kelly); his grandchildren, Michael Wolford, David Wolford, Isabella Delgado, Benjamin Castle and Ina Castle; his brother Tobbie Thompson; and his close friends, Sindy Hughes, Brian Pauley and Missy Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
