He was predeceased by: his parents, Amon James and Edna James (Johnson); his siblings, Josephine Missler, Jackie James and Judy Ann Masica; and his brother-in-law Leroy Hutchins.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo James; his daughters, Susan Moore (Buddy Ray) and Rachel Crum (Albert Lee); his grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Baisden, Emily Fasnacht, Isabella Spencer, Danielle "Dani" Lea Crum, James Dylan Crum, Jay Lee Crum and Lakeisha Boyd; his sisters, Mary Hutchins and Sue Cook (Robert); and his brother-in-law Richard Masica.
