We are sad to announce that on October 14, 2023, at the age of 82, Billy Ray Hammond of Louisa, Kentucky, born in Crum, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mont Hammond and Mabel Copley Hammond; the mother of his children Vennie Hammond; his son Billy Jack Hammond; his siblings, Jack Hammond, Clyde Hammond, Ronnie Hammond, Charles Hammond, Anita Haney and Minnie Sue Bailey; and his grandson Brandon Preece.
He is survived by: his children, Elmer Hammond (Connie Preece) of Louisa, KY, Robert "Bobby" Hammond of Louisa, KY and Jan Runyon of Columbus, OH; his siblings, Joe Hammond of Louisville, KY and Pauletta Barrett of South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Sheena Copley, Jimmy Ray Gantt, Brian Gantt, Ryan Runyon, Kendra Runyon, Felecia Hammond, Bobbie Sue "Lucy" Howard, Kaylee Hammond, Emily Hammond, Kilee Jo Muncy, Shyleh Muncy, Nova Maynard and Sabrina Preece. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
