He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Childers and Virginia Ford Childers. He is survived by: his wife Betty Clark Childers; his children, Charles Archer Childers (Bobbie) and Abigail Ratliff (Timmy); and his sister Sharon Thomas. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
