He was predeceased by: his parents, L. D. Hughes and Ailene Robinson Hughes; and his niece Tasha Stacy. He is survived by: his sisters, Freddie Collins (Barter) of Watts, KY and Rachel Tolson (Kenny) of Watts, KY; and his great-niece Ailene Marie Faye Smith.
