He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Coomer and Irene Keith Carpenter; his grandparents, Floyd and Ella Adkins; and his siblings, Wanda Lemaster, James Wyamon Coomer and Michael Coomer.

He is survived by: his son Jeffrey (Kimberly Coomer); his grandson Alex Blake (Amanda Coomer); and his siblings, Randy (Linda Carpenter), Arthur Coomer Jr., Patty (Gary Gilliam), Kathy Lynn (Gary Smith), Debbie Oaks, Donna Robinson, Jennifer Fouch and Janie Collins.
