He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Jo Sims (Scott) of Bardstown; his granddaughters, Pamela Baylee Sims and Anna Michelle Sims; his siblings, Donna Newton (Ricky) of Loretto, Susan Newton (Dale) of Loretto, Kim Gootee (Curtis Hazelwood) of Lebanon, Tony Hutchins (Mary Kaye) of Loretto and Keith Hutchins (Pam) of Bardstown; and his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Hutchins of Loretto.
